Last year, over 33,000 Long Island students enjoyed Plaza’s Arts-in-Education productions presented at our four venues:

  • The Bellmore Theatre, Bellmore
  • The Landmark Theatre, Port Washington
  • The Town Hall West Theatre, Islip
  • The Marathon Playhouse at the Marathon Jewish Community Center, Douglaston

We are delighted to announce that this year, our productions can also be brought into your school building!

Since March, plans have been underway to create an educationally exciting 2009-2010 season which will not only extend the classroom curriculum, but will also introduce students to the magic of live theatre! Our fully-staged productions, which feature complete scenery, costumes, props, and sound, are linked to the New York State Learning Standards. As in previous years, the cast members and students will have the opportunity to engage in a lively question and answer period or a “meet and greet” following each show. As you may know, all of Plaza’s performances are BOCES approved for funding.

For in-school assembly programs, discounts are offered for multiple performances or for block bookings with other schools in the same district.

For field trips, we are happy to offer one complimentary chaperone ticket with each 20 paid students. To round out your field trip, there are a number of fast-food restaurants for lunch near each theatre.

For reservations, information, or to discuss special needs, please contact our Educational Theatre Coordinator, Norma Ackerman, directly at (516) 354-1331. We look forward to seeing you at the theatre.

    With Warm Regards,

    KEVIN F. HARRINGTON
    President
