Plaza Theatrical Productions, Inc., founded in 1983 by Executive Producer, Kevin F. Harrington, is a Long Island based professional touring company serving public organizations, schools, camps, country clubs, convention centers and senior citizen developments. Plaza mounts fully-staged musicals, comedies, family and educational theatre, and musical revues. From 1990-1995, in addition to touring musicals, comedies and family theatre, the Plaza Organization operated Long Island's highly acclaimed Plaza Playhouse. During the five year period, producers Kevin and Phyllis Harrington mounted over 150 in-house productions. The Harrington's have been proud to present such productions as Evita, 42nd Street, Camelot, Jake's Women, Chapter Two, A Chorus Line, Nunsense, Driving Miss Daisy, I Do! I Do., Shenandoah, Same Time Next Year, Into The Woods, Veronica's Room, A Grand Night for Singing, Annie, Visiting Mr. Green, and My Fair Lady. For over a decade, the Harrington's have been delighted to present fully-staged summer out-of-door musicals, accompanied by full orchestra. Most recent productions have included My Fair Lady, Man of La Mancha, Guys and Dolls, The King and I, State Fair, Carousel, The Music Man, Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma!, 1776, Fiddler on the Rood, South Pacific and The Sound of Music. The Plaza Children's Theatre/Educational Theatre divisions mount annual tours of such literary works as The Miracle Worker, The Diary of Anne Frank and A Christmas Carol, as well as, musicals for younger audiences including Pinocchio and Cinderella.
